We are in the process of creating a Heritage cookbook,we are in need of recipes to finish our first addition. If anyone would like to contribute a recipe please contact us by e-mail or mail. If you have a recipe you would like included please include your name so we can list you as contributor.
    I am going to start adding a few recipes on our page and hope you will enjoy the recipes.
These are a few of my favorites.
 
Peanut Butter Cookies
 
1 Cup of Peanut Butter, Creamy or chunky
1 Egg
1 cup of sugar
 
Stir together peanut butter egg and sugar.
Roll into balls and place on  an ungreased cookie sheet
with fork dipped in sugar flatten out each cookie 
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
 
Since we are coming up on the Holidays, here is a easy way to make Dumplins
 
Dumplins
1 - 10 count can of canned biscuits
2 cans chicken broth
 
Open the biscuits and roll out each biscuit on a floured cutting board
with a serated knife cut the biscuits into strips and cut into small squares
Bring the broth to a boil and drop the dumplins in. Cook on medium heat until
done. Add salt and pepper to taste.
 
 
Quick and Easy Cinnamon Rolls
 
1/4 cup plus 11/2 teaspoons shortening
3 Cups self-rising flour
1 Cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
 
Vanilla Glaze
 
11/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
3 tablesoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
 
Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender until mixture resembles coars meal. Add 1 cup milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a floured surface; knead lightly.
 
Roll dough into a 20 X 14 inch retangle. spread the softened butter on dough,leaving a border of about 1/2 inch. Combine sugars and cinnamon; mix well and sprinkle butter. Top with peacans and raisins,if desired. beginning at long side, roll up jelly roll fashion; press edges and ends together securely. cut into 1 inch slices; place cut side down in a buttered 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
 
Combine powdered sugar, milk and vanilla; drizzle over warm rolls. Makes 20 cinnamon rolls.
